Irritating heroine that gets what she whines about.

Is this part of a series it doesn't mention? Many characters show up without explanation and they talk about others like the reader is supposed to know their stories.
The heroine made this hard to take. She is whiny, boy crazy, and emotionally immature yet apparently intelligent. This is written like a young adult novel until the hero gets an erection. The hero has a hot body and grins or chuckles frequently. Other plot pieces were crude and seemed contrived to get back at whoever were against the main characters getting together. Childish vengeance didn't improve the story. If the author was trying to be amusing it didn't work for me.
There is some light banter that was entertaining otherwise the dialogue was boring or as unlikable as the speakers. I won't read this again and was glad I got it through Kindle unlimited.
