jeff once again took up a topic that has been misunderstood and clarified it`s history
and potential benefits.
as he has done previously with his china book he makes the case for a clear eyed look at the benefits.
this book reads like a detective story; hard to put down.
leads the reader to an understanding of the role marijuana can play in medicine.
should be required reading for anyone interested in modern medicine.

Mr. Friedland wrote a well thought out and well researched book addressing the history of defaming one of the most valuable plants on earth. He does a wonderful job of positioning cannabis in the context of history, and why there is certain misinformation with lawmakers, health care providers and citizens. We should all thank Mr. Friedland for shining a light on the history and potential for this much confused plant.

Informative, easy to read and, unlike many other books about marijuana, provides a comprehensive historical, medical and legal background of the plant. A good guide for prospective cultivators and those who are just curious about the plant, its benefits and downsides. I most enjoyed the historical facts and how marijuana grew to become one of the most undeservedly hated flowers. Highly recommend.
